Sasha Cooke and Jason Vieaux 10/18/2026 at 3:00pm

Continuing their fall chamber music concerts, Music at Bunker Hill presents Songs of the Americas, featuring two Grammy Award-winning artists, mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and guitarist Jason Vieaux, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 3 p.m.

Because of the varied program content, this program is very accessible to all listeners. Song lyric sheets will be provided.

The program pairs Cooke’s voice with Vieaux’s guitar in music that ranges from Spanish song to American folk traditions and musical theater. It includes selections from Enrique Granados’s Tonadillas and Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs, alongside works by Joaquín Rodrigo, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim and others. Vieaux will also perform his composition Tidal Pools, featured on his new album of original solo guitar music, Gratitude, released September 18 on Azica Records.

Cooke has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera and other leading opera and concert stages and received two Grammy Awards. Vieaux is an internationally acclaimed classical guitarist and Grammy winner. Together, they bring an intimate voice-and-guitar program to Music at Bunker Hill’s tri-state audience.
