Barbara Travaline, President. Bobbie taught and worked as a teacher, reading specialist, and principal for 35 years in Washington Township Schools. She served on the boards of the Reading Council of Southern NJ and the Philharmonic of Southern NJ. Bobbie holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Wittenberg University.
Vicky Binetti, Vice President. Vicky retired after a long career with the US Environmental Protection Agency, where she was Associate Director of the Water Protection Division of EPA’s Mid-Atlantic Region. She joined the Board of Directors of Music at Bunker Hill in 2017. Vicky is Chair of the Washington Township Environmental Commission and the Green Team, and a member of the Open Space Advisory Committee. She also sits on the Boards of Directors of the Washington Township Rotary Club and the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library. Vicky earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgian Court University.
Jason Turner, Treasurer. Jason is currently Associate Director, Customer Support at Princeton University where he leads two teams who provide technology support to students, faculty, staff and alumni. In addition to serving Music at Bunker Hill, he also is a member of the board of trustees at Congregation Kol Ami of Cherry Hill. He is chair of the House Committee which spans building and grounds, security and information technology. Jason received Bachelor of Science and MBA from Drexel University.
Bill McDevitt, Secretary, Administrative Assistant. Bill is a multi-talented retired music educator consistently rewarded for success in planning and operational improvements. He has experience in policy development and staff management procedures positively impacting overall morale and productivity. He’s a creative Arts Instructor adept at teaching Music with extensive knowledge of methods and classroom management.
Bill serves as Executive Director of New Jersey Music Educators Association, 2020-present, and is responsible for all financial aspects and policy of the organization of more than 2000 members. He’s also the editor of all organization publications, including the quarterly Tempo magazine. He has organized annual professional development conferences and student honor ensembles (All-State) serving over 3000 members and students. Bill received a Bachelor of Music Education from Glassboro State College and a Master of Arts in Subject Matter: Teaching from Rowan University.
Keith Johnson, ADA Coordinator. Keith was an astronomy educator for 42 years. In 2004, he became the first director of the new Edelman Planetarium at Rowan University, from which he retired in 2016. He was able to introduce music into the star theater in several ways: he hosted university music students performing recitals; hosted music faculty recitals; and organized astronomically-themed jazz concerts by faculty musicians from Rowan (with accompanying animated visuals on the dome). Keith has sung in community choruses everywhere he's lived, including the Greater South Jersey Chorus, and served as treasurer for the Bella Voce women's chorus in Reno. He has also been called upon to turn pages for his beloved wife, a talented organist. Keith holds a Master of Science (in Astronomy) from University of Arizona.
Mary Bushong, Member at Large. Mary is a retired music educator, and National Vice President Alumnae for Sigma Alpha Iota. She plays euphonium and trombone in two community bands. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Mansfield University, her Masters of Arts in Music Education from Rowan University, and a Ph.D. in Music Education from Temple University.
Michelle Rosen, Member at Large. Michelle is principal bassoonist of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia since 1997, and is a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music. She has enjoyed a fruitful career as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. Currently, Michelle is an artist-in-residence at Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music and Dance, teaching bassoon and coaching chamber music.
Martha Frampton, Executive Director. Martha is retired from teaching music in Pennsville Memorial High School, 2002-2017. She held previous teaching positions in Woodbury Heights, Runnemede, and Riverton. She ran a music studio for about 20 years, teaching bassoon, piano and flute. Martha has served as Choir Director/Music Director at Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church since 1985. She is a cofounder of the concert series Music at Bunker Hill and volunteers with several nonprofits in Washington Township. Martha received a Bachelor of Music from University of Florida and certification to teach Music Education from Glassboro State College.
William Frampton, Artistic Director. Violist William Frampton has been praised by critics for his “impressive” performances (The New York Times) and “a glowing amber tone” (The Boston Globe). Since his New York recital debut in 2009 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, William has enjoyed a career of performances around the world as a chamber musician, soloist, and orchestral player. Highlights include over 100 performances with a string quartet led by Midori Goto in tours of Asia and North America, appearances as guest artist with Escher Quartet and Johannes Quartet, and world premieres of chamber music by J. Mark Stambaugh and a concerto by Peter Homans. William is Principal Viola of American Symphony Orchestra, Associate Musician with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and member of Harlem Chamber Players String Quartet. He performs in the Broadway orchestras of Hamilton, Wicked, and The Lion King, and on film scores including Barbie, The Joker, West Side Story, The Greatest Showman, The Girl on the Train, and many others.
William is Artistic Director of Music at Bunker Hill, a chamber music series in Southern New Jersey he co-founded in 2008 that brings six professional chamber music performances to Gloucester County, New Jersey every year. The community built as a result of Music Bunker Hill has brought regular collaborations with schools, libraries, orchestras, and civic organizations, contributing to the cultural life of Southern New Jersey. He has performed at festivals including Bard Summerscape, Verbier, and IMS Prussia Cove, and as soloist with conductors including Joseph Silverstein, David Hoose, and Charles Peltz. He holds degrees from New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School, and studied with Kim Kashkashian, Samuel Rhodes, Choong-Jin Chang, and Byrnina Socolofsky. William teaches viola and chamber music at The College of New Jersey.
Roger Mattson, Chief Financial Officer. Roger is an attorney who has been on the boards of several nonprofits and has held the positions of President, V.P. , Treasurer and Trustee in those organizations. He is a cofounder of Music at Bunker Hill. Roger holds a JD from Gonzaga University.
